What Ipamorelin is
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide, structure Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, characterised as a growth-hormone secretagogue that acts through the growth-hormone-secretagogue receptor.
There is no FDA-approved ipamorelin product; in October 2024 the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee considered ipamorelin bulk substances for the 503A compounding list and did not vote to include them, citing a lack of supporting data.
Supplied as a lyophilized powder, it has to be dissolved in a diluent before any volume can be drawn, and the concentration that results is determined by the mass in the vial and the volume added.
